I would like to welcome you to the New home of the American Cold War Veterans. I am
glad you were able to find us! I welcome all input for improvement to this Website and I
will be updating it as often as I can.

I will start off with some background about myself, I am a veteran of the US Army, I served
from 1975 to 1978 in the Regular Army. I was in the inactive Reserve from 1978 to 1983.
I received Honorable discharges from both of these. I was a Spec 4 when I got out in May
of 1978, on the E-5 list, and lacking 3 days retainability  to get my Sargent stripe. I chose
not to re-enlist or extend. I was trained as a Radio Teletype Operator, with the HHC,
6/32nd Armor Battalion. I was also the Assistant Consec Clerk. I attended Primary
Leadership Academy for Non-Combat Arms at Fort Carson Colorado, Reforger in
September 1977 with the 6/32nd Armor, AIT at Fort Gordan GA, Basic Training at Fort
Ord California.

One thing I can say is I did get to do a little traveling while I was in the Army!

I have 2 grown children, a girl Karen, who has my only grandson, Jacob (Jake), who
could be my twin, and my Son Zachariah (Zac) My Daughter lives with me by my and her
choice, I get to watch Jake grow up and spoil him! Zac is much to independent to be too
close, he lives in Canon City which is about 120 miles south of Thornton Co where I live. I
don't get to see him much anymore.

I am a retired/disabled heavy truck and equipment mechanic. I had the chance to work at
McMurdo Antarctica in the Heavy Shop as a heavy equipment mechanic and I was injured
while working in the back of a tracked fire truck. I don't recommend the medivac home
from Antarctica! At least not with a bad back! I have had 4 back surgeries since then, I
turned down a 5th one. I just got my electric wheelchair so I can get out a little more.
When I walk, my left foot and leg goes numb and nothing that is numb should hurt that
much! Ok, enough about me!

If you need to contact me, you can
email me. I will answer your questions as quickly as
possible

Please note, I have used a lot of
share ware on this site. If your
mouse changes to a hand on this
Website, it is an active link. On the
pictures it will probably take you to
a larger picture. On a symbol or a
Seal, it will take you to another
Website. If you go to another
website, it will do so in another
window. Please visit the other
sites, I have included them to
because of  the information that
they have available on there
websites. Please Enjoy this website
