Logo designed by Hector Autry and Dr. Frank Tims PhD.
Here is Dr Tims explanation of the Logo as posted on the American Cold War Forum: The logo was hammered out quickly, in collaboration with Hector Ed Autry and me. We start with the globe, since the Cold War was a global struggle. The fortress wall represents the confrontation between the Soviets and the west, tinged with red to represent the blood that was shed in so many places to defend the free world. The wall also represents the iron curtain, DMZ, ffice:smarttags" />Berlin wall, the Morgan line, the Blockage of Soviet ships carrying nuclear arms to Cuba, and the Korean and Vietnam War, as well as lesser conflicts. The three crossed arrows represent force and deterrence -- symbolizing the Triad of nuclear deterrence, as well as the willingness to send forces where they were needed.fficeffice" /> The white star represents military advisory and assistance missions, a key part of Cold War strategy. In the white star is the Greek scripted "Hellas" (Greece,), the first victory over Communist guerrillas of the Cold War in 1949. The wreath symbolizes that victory, as well as the peace it made possible in the free world. It's a work in progress, and we think it works. Your comments are welcome. We wanted a simple and uncluttered logo that would symbolize the entire Cold War, and our colors -- red, white, and blue!

These are some of the pictures that I have taken over the years. They are posted on Flickr.com If you see something that you would like to use on a web site or have printed please ask first. Click on the pictures and it will take you to my pictures on Flickr. Thank You John
